Mayor visits local care home open dayThe Mayor of Stafford, Councillor Aidan Godfrey joined HC-One’s Maple Lodge care home in Stafford, to celebrate the sixth annual Care Home Open Day on 21st April.

The choirs sang ‘You Are My Sunshine’ at the same time, creating a ‘Big Sing’ that brings HC-One homes across the country together in unison.

To celebrate in style, the Mayor and Lady Mayoress joined the home to watch a performance from the local Salvation Army band as well as a tombola, cakes and refreshments on offer in the beautiful garden at Maple Lodge. 

Resident Nina Asllop celebrated her 80th birthday with friends and family on Care Home Open Day. Nina enjoyed a slice of chocolate cake whilst she basked in the spring sunshine, all of the Residents and staff wished her a happy birthday.

The Mayor and Lady Mayoress were given a tour of the home and met with Residents and colleagues to see first-hand the kind care being delivered.
