Mansfield Salvation Army receives generous Harvest Festival donation from April Park care homeHC-One’s April Park care home in Eckington was delighted to give a generous food donation to Mansfield Salvation Army as part of the home’s harvest festival celebrations.

As part of the care home’s commitment to helping the local community, Residents, Colleagues and their loved ones at April Park have been collecting food for charity for the past few weeks.

April Park collected a variety of non-perishable foods, including tinned goods, biscuits and coffee, which were gathered in a large harvest festival hamper.

Following an exciting morning of harvest festival activities, Residents were joined by family and friends as they eagerly awaited representatives from the Salvation Army to visit the home.

Residents were delighted to meet members of the Salvation Army as they handed over the food and were congratulated for their efforts.

Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do so we were keen to give back to our local community for harvest festival.

“We are extremely grateful for the efforts made by our Colleagues, Residents and their loved ones to support such a fantastic organisation as the Salvation Army.”
