Mansfield care home bring the ‘roaring 20’s’ to 2020Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Berry Hill Park care home decided to throw their very own Great Gatsby party.

Residents and staff at the Mansfield care home enjoyed an afternoon of laughter and entertainment with a 1920’s style ‘Great Gatsby’ party.

The staff dressed up in flat caps, braces and waistcoats to look like 1920’s gangsters, or got out feather headbands and pearls to look just like a flapper girl.

The Residents joined in dressing up too, trying on the beads, hats and detailed headbands.

One Resident commented “you all look so different, I could hardly recognise you!”

The highlights of the day were seeing all of the smiles on the Residents faces, it’s great to have a laugh and some fun, especially whilst going through such a difficult time.

There was fruit punch and prosecco on offer too, no roaring 20’s party would be complete without a tipple or two! There was afternoon tea available too with tasty sandwiches and cakes, it was a wonderful afternoon.
