Manor Park care home Residents enjoy a reminiscent outingThree Residents at HC-One’s Mornington Hall care home enjoyed an afternoon out as they decided to embrace the sunshine.

The Residents, assisted by Colleagues, took a walk to the local train station as they chose a variety of newspapers to take back to fellow Residents. They watched as trains passed by, and reminisced of their dream holidays and life stories.

One Resident spoke about his past career as a criminal lawyer, describing how the pace of life has changed for people over the years, commenting on how easy it was for criminals to be caught when he worked in the field.

One hobby he particularly enjoys still, is reading, as he remains an avid reader with weekly trips to the local library.

Each of the three Residents enjoyed sitting together as they discussed their past lives, commenting on what has changed since they were younger.

Anthony Carlin, Home Manager, commented: “Residents really enjoy maintaining links with the local community, reminiscing happy memories together.”
