Manor Park care home celebrates art in careHC-One’s Mornington Hall Care Home recently opened its doors to the local community to celebrate the seventh annual National Care Home Open Day.

Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the care services at the heart of their community. It focusses on bringing those who live locally into care homes to break down misconceptions, showcase what life is really like in a care home, and to highlight the skills and dedication of local people working as carers. The aspiration of everyone having a better understand how kind care is delivered.

An exciting time was had by all as Residents and Relatives attended alongside members of the local community, to take part in a quiz and other activities such as the art competition.

Live music entertainment was held for all to enjoy which took place in the home’s garden, with everyone joining in to sing along to their favourite songs.

Joanne Robbin-Coker, Home Manager, commented: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they attended the open day. It’s always wonderful to see the Residents enjoying themselves and socialising with others.”
