Manchester care home enjoys success in CQC reportHC-One’s Averill House care home in Newton Heath, Manchester is celebrating its glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The team at Averill House was delighted to achieve an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents and is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible and Well-Led.

The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues of Averill House, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for Residents in the home. The sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as “the staff are brilliant, if they can look after a grumpy old man like me, they must be well-trained” and “everyone is nice, we are all friends.”

Inspectors were particularly impressed by the innovative activities put in place to help enhance Residents’ lives, such as the home’s vast wellbeing programme, which included visits from therapeutic animals, pampering sessions and flower arranging.
