Manchester care home enjoy a Alice in Wonderland tea partyResidents at HC One’s Brookdale View enjoyed their very own tea party which Alice in Wonderland would have been jealous of!

For the Manchester care homes first summer event, Colleagues staged an afternoon Tea Party!

On a very hot sunny summers’ day, Brookdale hosted it’s very own summer Tea party. On a table filled with food, there was everything from scones, clotted cream, jam, fresh strawberries (of course) biscuits and sandwiches (with the crusts cut off, naturally!), all finished with a lovely selection of cakes.

One of the Residents commented “I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was lovely to socialise with the other Residents.”

Chris, the homes wellbeing co-ordinator, was on hand to make fresh Earl Grey tea and dish out the sandwiches too.

Everyone had a lovely time with the music supplied by Absolute Radio’s 1960’s playlist.

It was great to see all the Residents together enjoying themselves, some who hadn’t met each other in quite a while.

Chris entertained the group with poems and songs from “Alice in Wonderland” which matched the occasion, as at times it felt like the “Mad Hatters Tea Party!”

Liz Walker the home manager said “It was lovely to see all the Residents enjoying themselves and being together today.”
