Malteser magic at Hertfordshire care homeWoodlands View in Stevenage, which offers residential, nursing and nursing dementia care, received a huge donation from B & M bargain store in the form of Maltesers.

The B & M super store in Luton kindly donated 51 boxes of Maltesers for the Residents to enjoy, which have been well received by them. It was a fantastic surprise and Residents enjoyed tucking into them with their afternoon tea. They all agreed it was a lovely treat for a cold, rainy afternoon.

Along with enjoying these treats there was a couple of facts that the Residents were fascinated about, one being that Maltesers were invested in 1936, originally being called energy balls. They changed their name later and pulled the words “Malt” and “Teasers” together. They were also originally aimed at women, but soon became popular amongst everybody!

One Resident speaking about the delivery “How lovely and how kind of them to send them to our home” and another reminisced “I remember having these when I was very young, they still taste great”.

Deby, the Home Manager commented, “It was such a kind and generous act, our thanks go to B & M Luton for sending them to us”.
