Make a wish at SilverwoodCare Assistant, Karen at Silverwood Care home has come up with a novel idea to provide even Kinder Care for the Residents at the home.

A wishing tree (made by Karen and her Husband) has been proudly placed in reception, ready for Residents to hang their wishes on.

The idea is that the home will grant one wish a month from the tree.

A poem to encourage Residents has been set up alongside the tree:

“Close your eyes and make a wish,
Hang it from our tree,
Each month I will take one from a branch,
And grant a wish from me.”

Home Manager, Carrie Ann Davies, commented:

“I am so proud to work with people who have creative ideas and are forthcoming with them. This scheme will give us just another way to provide the kindest and most personal care for our lovely Residents.”
