Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Milliner House Care Home recently decided to embrace the sunshine as they took a day trip to Southend-On-Sea.
Of course, the first thing everyone wanted to do on the beach was to enjoy an ice cream on the seafront as they enjoyed the warmth of the sunshine.
Some Residents then decided that they would like to get the train to the end of the pier, whilst others chose to visit the arcades instead.
Everyone then regrouped as they went to enjoy a delicious fish and chip lunch before they then took another stroll along the beach front and had a look at the various games and activities along the beach, with some even taking part in the games, including ‘hook-a-duck’.
Kathryn Sygrove, Home Manager, commented: “It was a brilliant day had by all as Residents were able to reminisce about past family holidays and discuss their favourite things about the beach.”
