Lunch date for reunited married coupleHC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Health organised for married Residents, Frank and Joan Beddoes to enjoy a lunch date together.

Frank recently joined his wife Joan at Roxburgh House and they both expressed wishes to go out and share a meal together as a couple.

The team at Roxburgh House planned a day out for the happy couple to the Elephant and Castle pub, where they both enjoyed a cheese and potato pie with chips and salad. Frank opted for a pint of butter while Joan chose to have a pot of tea.

After their lunch, they headed outside to the beer garden where they sat together and watched the birds.

On their return, they both said that it was great to be out together for the first time in a long time. Joan commented that it was lovely just being out together and Frank said it’s been a long time since they went to the pub as a couple.

Roxburgh House Home Manager, Julie Jones said:

“It’s lovely to organise a special day for such a wonderful couple. Organising memorable events like this is an important part of how HC-One provides the kindest care.”
