Lord Mayor joins Christmas celebrations at Chester care homeCelebrations were in full swing as Lauren Court care home in Chester invited friends, family and the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Chester to join in with the home’s Christmas party. 

The party kicked off in style with entertainment from the Golden Age Songbird, who sang a mix of wartime classics and traditional Christmas songs. 

The team at Lauren Court was delighted to have raised more than £225 at its raffle, with the star prize being a beautiful wine and chocolate hamper donated by Home Manager, Sarah Molloy. Other prizes included donations from local businesses and attractions, including tickets to a Chester Football Club match and a voucher for Ness Gardens, with the main winner being revealed to be Care Asisstant, Sonya Wishart.

Guests enjoyed a selection of seasonal treats, including mince pies, shandy, Christmas cupcakes made by a Relative and a buffet provided by Lauren Court. 

The party continued with a Christmas pass the parcel and festive pub quiz, with Residents commenting on the fantastic ‘family entertainment’ and a ‘great atmosphere.’
