Residents, Relatives and Colleagues at HC-One’s Mornington Hall care home in London had a wonderful day celebrating Diwali on Tuesday 6th November.
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance."
Mornington Hall was decorated with beautiful colours and candles, some wore their best sarees and delicious traditional Indian food was prepared by the Chef. Everyone had a fantastic day dancing and celebrating, Residents commented that it was a lovely day.
