Local VIPs celebrate ‘Outstanding’ CQC successFestivities were in full swing at HC-One’s Tenlands Care Home in Ferryhill, as Residents and esteemed guests from the local community celebrated the Home’s ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The home hosted a fun-filled day and welcomed guests including Mayor David Farry and Mayors Consort, Councillor Katie Graham, who were delighted to be involved in the praise for Tenlands and witness first-hand the exceptional care available within the Ferryhill community.

Alongside Residents, Colleagues, friends and family, guests were treated to performances from Whitworth Park School Band, Kendal String Quartet, Flash Comedy Magician, James, whilst enjoying an array of refreshments including mulled wine, warm mince pies, a wonderful Hog Roast, Prosecco and soft drinks. 

Mayor David Farry said:

“It was an absolute pleasure to be at Tenlands for the CQC Outstanding celebrations and share this time with the Residents, Relatives and staff. 

“I was very impressed with the standard of care and friendliness at Tenlands Care Home; the Residents were very happy and relaxed.  It was wonderful to see firsthand, the hard work and dedication that staff put in. It was clearly apparent how all the Residents are treated with kindness and dignity.”


Victoria Leighton, HC-One Tenlands Care Home Manager, said:
 
“We are delighted to have been rated as an Outstanding home. Everybody here is so passionate about ensuring our Residents are happy and well looked after.  It is lovely to be recognised for the hard work and kind care that each and every member of the team puts in, day in day out.”
