Local Care Home stages annual summer feteHC-One Glanffrwd Care Home in Pencoed recently held their annual summer fete. Attended by Councillor Pam Davies Mayor for Bridgend County Borough along with many relatives, friends and members of the local community Residents were entertained by a local dance group of young people called Dance Crazy and also members of the Welsh National Opera played some melodies. A BBQ was organised by the Home’s staff so that Residents could enjoy hotdogs and burghers along with lots of other treats          
 
Commenting on the day Joan Thomas the Home Manager said “it was lovely seeing the Residents having such a good time and we were very grateful to Councillor Pam Davies for visiting us and chatting with the Residents. I am pleased to say a total of £613.60 was raised from fund raising on the day which will be a significant contribution to the Resident’s comfort fund and used at Christmas and for a new sound system”.  

HC-One Regional Managing Director Liz Whyte commented “In all of our HC One Homes we are keen for Residents to meet and interact with members of the local community so very pleased to hear HC One Glanffrwd held a very successful summer fete raising funds for the Resident’s comfort fund.
