Local care home kindness goes beyond the front doorResidents and staff at HC-One Church View Care Home in Caerphilly were recently enjoying a singalong one sunny morning when they noticed some visitors to the car park. Three baby geese along with their parents were out for a morning stroll and presumably making their way back to the Castle moat. One of the Care Assistants, Lynette Meyrick, became concerned as to them crossing the road safely so made her way outside the Home to help. She then stopped the traffic at the nearby zebra crossing so that the family of geese could cross. This bought a big cheer and loud applause from the Home’s residents who are used to experiencing acts of kindness all the time from the staff but this was a bit different.

Alison Durbidge, Church View Care Home Manager commented “ I am very proud of my staff and the kindness they show the Residents every day and it was so nice to see Lynette just acting naturally in carrying out an act of kindness even if it was beyond the front door”
