Lithuanian cuisine at Aston House care homeEvery week on Thursdays at Aston House an 'International Cuisine' lunch is hosted for the Residents and staff reflecting their respective countries. 

The menu for this Thursday was 'Lithuanian food' with lovely Lithuanian music. Everyone looked stunning in their yellow and green dress code that symbolized the colour flag of Lithuania. 

The dining table was decorated with the represented nation-Lithuania. One of the home’s own staff carers is from Lithuania and assisted the cook with a delicious Lithuanian traditional dish named 'Kugelis' which is made with a blend of bacon and potato along with some refreshing Lithuanian dessert.

Residents enjoy the variety of dishes and music for International Cuisine day, Alice said she was thrilled to join together in sharing different cultural cuisines. One Colleague remarked, “Indeed! It is fantastic to smell and taste different dishes from around the globe. Alice, says she can't wait and anxiously looks forward for next Thursday's food day menu.

Home Manager, Seema Sandeep-Jose, said, “Themed events based on a particular country or culture can be lots of fun. It makes me happy to see them happy”.
