Lincoln care home saves the day with heroic actThe team at White Gables care home in Lincoln helped save the day when they helped a local elderly gentleman in a time of distress.

Staff noticed that there was a man stood in a nearby field, and after White Gables employees Kirsty, Sonia and Julie went outside to investigate, they realised that he seemed very confused.

The team spoke to the gentleman to reassure him that he was safe, before taking him back to the care home to warm up with sandwiches and a cup of tea.

After the team raised concern to Unit Manager, Julie Overton, she called the police and discovered that the 75-year-old gentleman had been reported missing and had walked six miles away from his home.

The White Gables team were thanked for helping the gentleman back to safety.

Julie said: “At White Gables, we do everything we can to lend a helping hand to our local community. We are so happy that the gentleman is now safe and I thank all our wonderful staff for their dedication to help him.”
