Let the games begin for Hinckley care homeHC-One’s Hinckley Park care home in Hinckley is gearing up to take part the Leicester and Rutland Sport’s Twilight Games this September.

The Twilight Games, branded as the care home version of the Olympics is a highly competitive range of games which can all be played seated and aim to improve mobility, mental health and co-ordination whilst having fun.

After a practice period, all participating care homes are given two weeks to play and score the six games and return their scorecards to be in with a chance of being the winning home.

The Residents and team at Hinckley Park have got their eyes on the prize and with the support of Twilight Games creator, Mark Beeby and Hinckley Leisure Centres Physical Activity Development Officer, Liz Causon are hoping to reach the top spot!

Hinckley Park Home Manager, Sharon Butler said:

“It’s great to be taking part in such a positive local project, everyone at Hinckley Park has their fingers crossed that our home will do well in the Twilight Games.”
