Leighton Court Care Home Mother's Day CelebrationsLeighton Court Care Home kicked off its Mother’s Day celebrations with a spectacular performance from the talented singer Lilli Moore. Residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful afternoon filled with music and laughter.
To mark the occasion, all the ladies at Leighton Court received beautiful daffodils and the dedicated staff working on Mother’s Day were also treated to chocolates as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

A highlight of the celebration was a delightful flower arranging session, where everyone showcased their creativity. Kath, resident at Leighton Court fondly referred to the group as “Florries,” recalling the old term used for florists.

In the afternoon, the festivities continued with a charming afternoon tea. Residents and staff enjoyed delicious cakes lovingly prepared by head cook, Hannah, and Head Housekeeper, Angie. The event was filled with music, singing, and dancing, making it a truly memorable day.

Sophie Teasdale, Wellbeing Coordinator, expressed her joy, saying:
 "Seeing everyone’s smiles over this weekend has been absolutely beautiful."

Linda King, one of our residents, shared her happiness:
"I’ve had such a fantastic time; I’ve been made to feel so special."

The celebration was a resounding success, bringing warmth, happiness, and a sense of community to all at Leighton Court Care Home.
