Leigh Colleagues surprised with flowers from former ResidentOn 21st of February, Colleagues at Richmond House care home, in Leigh, Greater Manchester, received a gift from one of the Residents who recently moved to a new care home.

Simon Collier, who has lived at the 49-bed nursing care home has now moved care homes to focus on his specialist needs and it was an emotional day for both fellow Residents and Colleagues when he left as they have got to know Simon and built fantastic relationships with him over the years.

After Simon had settled into his new home, Colleagues received a lovely bunch of flowers and a card thanking everyone at Richmond House for the time and work spent with Simon.

Sonia Walshaw, Wellbeing Coordinator at Richmond House, commented, “It was a mixture of emotions throughout the day as we know that the place Simon is now going to be living somewhere that specialises in the specific areas he needs, however we are going to miss him.”
