Colleagues at HC One’s Harley Grange care home wanted to take Residents on a tour around the world from the comfort of the home!
The staff firstly welcomed the Residents with their passports, which were created a few weeks ago, to start their virtual journey at the Leicester home.
Colleagues then carried out the safety rules for flying – everyone must remember to fasten seatbelts before beginning!
So far on the journey Residents and Colleagues have ‘travelled’ to Paris and Amsterdam, with Rome next up on the list. One Resident also requested a trip to Austria afterwards.
When ‘visiting’ France croissants were served with the 3pm tea and when in Holland the Residents enjoyed chocolate waffles.
It was a great way to see some sights and learn about the history of the countries and capital cities.
One of the Residents commented “It’s wonderful to see the pictures from these famous landmarks and learn about the famous artists from the countries.”
