Leeds care home serves up a trio of birthday celebrations Aberford Hall care home in Leeds served up a trio of special birthday celebrations this week, surrounded by Colleagues, Residents and their loved ones. 

The special surprises kicked off with Home Manager Kathryn Oddy, who has marked her 60th birthday at the home with balloons, sweets and flowers presented to her by her team. 

Next up was Resident George Wilson, who celebrated turning 104 years old surrounded by his friends and family. His daughter and son-in-law even made a surprise visit as George blew out his candles and made his birthday wish.

Last but not least was Resident Barbara Sharman, who was delighted to receive lots of cards and gifts from her loved ones on her big day. 

George was delighted by the efforts made for his big day and even revealed his secret to a long and happy life: “Eat good food, drink plenty and always be too careful.”
