Today at
Admirals Reach in Chelmsford, which provides residential, nursing and nursing dementia care, Resident’s enjoyed a special activity which brought the ‘Last Night at the Proms’ into the home.
The Wellbeing Coordinators had all dressed up in Union Jack outfits and visited all the different communities in the home. The Residents enjoyed singing “Land of Hope and Glory” whilst waving their flags.
A selection of crisps and lemonade was given to all the Residents, who loved engaging in the activity and celebrating with the staff. Speaking afterwards, the Residents had expressed how they “loved waving the flags and signing”. With the best part of the event being the signing along of ‘Land of Hope and Glory’. Another Resident had commented “What a great celebration, it was great seeing them (the wellbeing team) all dressed up”.
Lal, the Home Manager had said “It was fantastic to see the wellbeing team all dressed up, and everybody joining in together”.
