The Residents at
Dove Court residential, nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, in Burnley, have had a great start to celebrate Black History Month.
Those involved really enjoyed to listening to music from celebrated Black entertainers. They have also been tasting Jamaican smoothies, Caribbean mocktails and learning about celebrated figures with black history bingo.
See pictured Doris Pape and Maria Garcia, who both live at the home, and enjoyed taking part in the activities.
The bingo, winning prizes and tasting drinks were the most popular activities of the day and really enjoyed by everyone. One of the Residents commented, “Thank you I really enjoyed it”
Stephanie Tillotson and Janice Firminger, both Wellbeing Coordinators, agreed, “It’s nice to see the Residents enjoying themselves.”
