Lakes Primary School pay weekly visits to Roseberry CourtChildren from years five and six at Lakes Primary School love their weekly visits to the Residents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court.

Even Storm Emma couldn’t stop them this week, as they braved the snow to visit the excited Residents.

Whilst at Roseberry Court, the children pulled all of the board games out to play with the Residents. They also had a game of bowls and the children couldn’t get over how good the Residents were!

Next they used Jenga bricks to build the church that used to be opposite the home but was recently knocked down. Everyone was amazed at how accurate the Jenga building was. Both the children and Residents spent the time reminiscing about the church together.

The pupils from Lakes Primary School served refreshments and jam doughnuts to everyone before saying goodbye until next week.

The Residents all get a new lease of life when the children arrive, they are full of energy and enjoy beating them at bowls!

Norma Perryman, Resident at Roseberry Court, commented:

“I always love the children’s visits, they always cheer me up.”

Lakes Primary School’s pupils commented:

“Nothing would stop us from our weekly visits here; we look forward to coming every week, it’s the highlight of our school week.”
