Laindon care home opens tea roomResidents at Oaklands Care Home are overjoyed to now have a new area within the home that they can share with loved ones.

After speaking with Colleagues at the home and suggesting they should have a space that could be used as a tea room, Residents were pleased to see their ideas put into action as it was decided that the dining room could be used as a tea room when not in use.

Colleagues have got involved in decorating the tea room, as one staff member knitted various cakes and treats to display on a cake stand in the room.

The room is popular with all Residents and Relatives and everyone is pleased, with one Resident remarking how it was “another cosy area to spend time with loved ones” and a great way of making more family memories.
