Residents at
Balcarres, residential and residential dementia care home, in Dundee, have loved watching the horse racing.
To celebrate the races at Aintree, Balcarres put on a Ladies Day for all the Residents.
The Residents decorated hats with flowers, they had some champagne with strawberries and lots of special nibbles. June, a Resident, commented, “Oh I love the hat I have made!”
It was such a fun day! The Residents picked a horse in the race and in the following days for the Grand National and they were over the moon when their horse won.
Alma Cargill, a Resident, remarked, “My horse was a donkey!”
It was very exciting, the Residents watching were on the edge of their seats the whole time.
Lynn McLean, Care Home Manager, added, “It was such a lovely day! And a great Grand National weekend.”
