Residents at HC One’s Fir Trees care home took part in a ‘knit and natter’ session today.
Residents Vera Harrison, Eileen Booth, Dorothy Lilley and Christina Carling joined the knit and natter session at the Dukinfield home.
They all enjoyed the knitting although there was more nattering than knitting! It was lovely for the Colleagues to see the Residents having a chat and having a laugh together.
When it comes to knitting, Vera and Christina especially love it, with Christina even teaching others how to cast on and do different stitches.
Vera said “I do love knitting”, and Dorothy commented “I don’t know if my hands will let me knit but I’ll give it a try.”
Carer Natalie said “it’s great to see them joining in altogether, although I can’t knit to save my life!”
