Residents at Kirkwood Court in Newcastle were delighted to be whisked away to the coast for some refreshing sea air.
Despite the cold weather, everyone wrapped up warm to make a visit to Hexham and Whitley Bay.
The trip ended with a stop by the fish and chip shop to warm up with a portion of hot chips and various refreshments.
Elizabeth Kyle, a Resident at the home, said: “I really enjoyed spending the day at such a fabulous place.”
Georgina Burlinson, Home Manager, said: “Our Residents really enjoyed visiting the coast, with many of them sharing memories of the beach when they were younger. It was lovely to see everyone smiling as they returned to the home.”
