HC-One’s Kirkby House care home held a party as the home celebrated the Chinese New Year, welcoming the ‘Year of the Rat’.
Residents and Colleagues enjoyed an afternoon of decorating as they dressed mannequins for the event and to be displayed throughout the home.
Visitors to the home each commented on how well decorated the home was, as the home held a party for all Residents and their Relatives to enjoy. The catering team prepared a variety of oriental dishes to be enjoyed for lunch, alongside a Chinese party food buffet which was enjoyed by all in the home.
Residents remarked at how much they enjoyed the different variations of food, with some only trying some foods for the first time.
One Resident commented: “I have really enjoyed myself today. The food tasted delicious and it was a great occasion to dress for.”
