Kingswood care home staff fundraise for Resident’s holiday as they complete Hull’s Inflatable 5K Colleagues at HC-One’s Kesteven Grange care home in Kingswood, Hull raised a fantastic £1000 at Hull’s Inflatable 5K to fund Residents’ upcoming summer holiday to Blackpool.

Kesteven Grange’s Home Manager, Kellie Moore, teamed up with Senior Carers, Sarah Jeffery and Sarah Stevenson, and Wellbeing Coordinator Mandy Gallagher for the race.

Hull’s Inflatable 5K is packed with some of the largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles ever created. The Kesteven Grange group braved the Great British weather to complete the course in a brilliant 75 minutes, raising more than £1000 so far.

The funds raised will go towards taking Residents on holiday to Blackpool this summer, where they are planning to spend a few days at the seaside town.

The trip to Blackpool was inspired by the home’s recent caravan break to Skipsea Sands, where Residents enjoyed reminiscing childhood memories of the seaside.

One Resident commented: “The Kesteven Grange ladies did such a smashing job at the Inflatable 5K and did everyone at the home proud. I am already looking forward to the trip to Blackpool and really appreciate the hard work staff have put in to raising the money for this opportunity.”

Kellie Moore said: “At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do and the whole team at Kesteven Grange are committed to providing great experiences for our Residents. The Inflatable 5K course was certainly a challenge, so we were delighted to have raised such an outstanding amount to give our Residents a holiday they truly deserve.”
