HC-One’s Douglas View Care Home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, is celebrating the work of Janice Barnes, who has received a Kindness in Care Award for always going above and beyond her call of duty to ensure Residents are well cared for and that their family members are informed and involved.
The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013. It recognises the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones. Month on month, record breaking numbers of awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.
Resident Helen Robertson’s son, Joseph, nominated Janice Barnes for a Kindness in Care Award as she always goes over and above, by taking time to discuss his mum and ensuring that he is always informed and involved. Janice always has a smile for everyone and Residents and visitors love her because she is always bubbly, happy and helpful.
HC-One Douglas View’s Home Manager, Katy Jenks, said:
