HC-One’s Beaconsfield Court Care Home in Barnard Castle, County Durham, is celebrating the work of Karen Hutchinson, who has received a Kindness in Care Award for her passionate and thoughtful attitude over the past 18 years since starting at the home.
Karen shows kindness to everyone she comes into contact with, whether it’s the Residents, her Colleagues or Relatives, and is loved by everyone. She sits and chats to all of the Residents in her spare time and joins in with the activities. Home Manager Laura Langridge and Head of Department, Tracey McMahon nominated Karen for her Kindness in Care Award.
Resident Bryan Gledhill, who calls Karen Midge, commented:
“I couldn’t think of anyone who’s more deserving of this award than Midge.”
Karen commented:
“This Award has made me feel so appreciated, I haven’t come down from Cloud 9 since receiving it!”
