Colleague kindness has been celebrated at Quarry Hall care home in Cardiff with four awards as part of Random Acts of Kindness Day 2019.
Staff members were handed their Kindness in Care award certificates by Home Manager Carla, who was delighted to reward Jenny King, Nurse, Tracey Bowes Cavanagh, Senior Care Assistant, Imelda Gavos, Team Leader, and Care Assistant, Stefan Marin.
In addition to the award presentation, Residents presented a ‘thank you’ card to the Quarry Hall team as a way of showing their appreciation to those who have shown kindness in care and who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
Random Acts of Kindness were also given to the kitchen staff and volunteers at the home, many of whom have been volunteering at Quarry Hall for a number of years.
Jackie, a Care Assistant at Quarry Hall, said: “This is such a lovely idea. Our whole team makes every effort to provide the kindest possible care to our Residents, so it is really nice to receive this token of appreciation from my fellow Colleagues and the Residents.”
