Kindest Nurse celebrates 10 years of serviceA Nursing Assistant at Hebburn Court was overwhelmed to receive a long service award after working at the home for 10 years.

The team at Hebburn Court celebrated Nurse Assistant Julie Burton’s 10-year anniversary with a presentation of her award and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Julie has always gone the extra mile when it comes to caring for the Residents and has therefore forged strong relationships with them. She was recently awarded a Kindness in Care award for her kindness and compassion, nominated by Residents and the team at Hebburn Court.

She happily assisted a gentleman Resident with dementia down the aisle for his daughter’s wedding, ensuring that he could fulfil the monumental occasion. She also voluntarily came in on her day off to look after a lady Resident whilst she passed away, as she didn’t want her to be alone.

Julie Burton commented:

“I can’t believe it! Thank you so much, I am so overwhelmed and couldn’t have worked for a better home.”

John, Deputy Manager at Hebburn Court, commented:

“Thank you Julie for your dedication and commitment to HC-One. The example you set to the other nursing assistants is astounding. You are always going above and beyond what’s expected of you and we really appreciate everything you do.”
