Kind craft donation is a hit with Residents at White Gables White Gables care home in Lincoln was delighted to receive a donation of hand-knitted fiddle muffs for Residents from the Inner Wheel Club.

The muffs, which have taken more than five hours each to make, were provided by the club to help Residents with their movement and brain stimulation.

Fiddle muffs have been proven to be a particularly therapeutic activity for people living with dementia, as they can help to ease agitation and calm the person’s mood by keeping their hands and minds occupied.

Catherine Mitchell, Home Manager, said: “We were delighted to receive the twiddle muffs from the Inner Wheel Club, and our Residents couldn’t stop smiling as they got to use them for the first time.”
