Kind act from Knowsley care home helps make a difference this ChristmasKirkby House care home in Knowsley helped to make a difference this Christmas with a kind donation to a family in need in the local community.

Colleagues at Kirkby House had heard about a local family who were struggling to make ends meet, after a wife had lost her husband and her children had lost their father.

As a gesture of good will, Colleagues at the home decided to take action and donated money to buy food and presents for the family.

Having raised more than £135 in total, the team at Kirkby House bought ingredients for a Christmas dinner, some additional food items and presents for both children, which they delivered to the family in person.

One Resident at Kirkby House commented: “How lovely, that was such a heart-warming gesture at such a difficult time of the year.”

Tracey Conlin, Home Manager at Kirkby House, said: “At HC-One, we strive to make a difference not only to our Residents, but to the local community. I couldn’t be more proud of my Colleagues for the kindness they have shown to help out those less fortunate at Christmas time.”
