July activities at Perry Locks care homeWellbeing Coordinator, Mark, has shown his creative skills this month by organising gardening, records, knit & natter, pride and afternoon tea. A very busy month at Perry Locks and plenty for Residents to get involved in…

During these challenging times when Residents are not able to receive any visitors, the wellbeing team are ensuring Residents are kept occupied by organising various fun-filled activities.

One of the scheduled activities involved listening to favourite songs and displaying the titles on records which was thoroughly enjoyed by the Residents (see picture). It took them back many years. Younger members of staff asked, “What is a record?” which made many Residents laugh.

Home Manager, Rebecca Bristow, said, “Fun activities are great to participate in. The staff at Perry Locks are so multi-talented. They provide fun, interesting activities to keep our Residents occupied. I appreciate everything all staff are doing during this difficult time to keep the Residents safe”.
