HC-One’s Fleming Court care home in Jesmond welcomed friends, family and members of the community on Wednesday 30th October for a thrilling Halloween party.
Halloween is an annual celebration that originated as an ancient Celtic festival where people would wear costumes to scare off ghosts. Since then, it has evolved into a day of fun festivities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.
Residents were joined by the local community for some delicious food and live entrainment, everyone danced to the monster mash and thriller while others sang-along to their favourite tunes.
Fleming Court Home Manager, Julie Baron, commented: “All of our Residents were very excited for the day. Halloween is a popular celebration and many of our Residents excitedly told stories of what they used to do at Halloween when they were younger.”
