Fleming Court care home in Jesmond – part of HC-One, the kind care company – welcomed some four-legged friends on Wednesday 7th August when Claire’s Cool Creatures came to visit.
Residents, visitors and members of the care team were treated to visit from a variety of weird and wonderful animals, including, Gloria the Silky Chicken, a hedgehog, skinny pig and a python. Everyone listening to facts about the different animals including information about their diet, habitat and behaviour.
The group each took turns holding and stroking the different animals, which was an enjoyable experience for all, especially Residents and their visiting grandchildren. One Relative commented: “What a wonderful experience, it was great to see everyone so interested in the animals.”
