It’s a Westbury Christmas party! The Residents’ Christmas party was certainly one to remember at the Westbury residential and nursing care home, in Wiltshire.

On 21st December, the party started with Christmas carols and everyone joined in, including Residents and staff.

Jacqui Evans, Activity Coordinator, said, “We played lots of games including Christmas balloon tennis, charades and ‘Guess who I am?’”

Residents also took part in games with Christmas bean bags and a lucky dip. Each Resident received a small gift; these were small fruit baskets and gifts for the winners of the games being played, (the main presents will be distributed on Christmas Day).

And of course, there was a buffet served, with drinks including tea, coffee, wine, sherry and Baileys.

Residents were visited in their rooms if they were unable to join in the main lounge; Colleagues went around singing carols to them which was thoroughly enjoyed.

One of the Residents said, “I really enjoyed it all. Thank you for all the effort put in making it special.”

Theresa Chacko, Care Home Manager, said it was a “Fantastic afternoon! Everyone joined in to make it that bit more special for all the Residents.”
