Residents at HC-One’s Fullarton Care Home in Irvine, Ayrshire enjoyed a day trip to Largs for lunch and a dance at Willowbank Hotel.
A trip along the coastal road to the hotel saw Residents discussing happy memories of days out with family and friends and it wasn’t long until the discussion turned to disastrous trips they had all experienced, accompanied by lots of laughs.
As everyone arrived at the Willowbank Hotel, they were treated to a drink in the sun before going inside for a delicious lunch and a dance, where they all showed off their dance moves.
Charlie and Peggy, two of Fullarton’s quieter Residents, had a lovely moment together where they paired up and enjoyed a quite dance with the biggest smiles on their faces.
The journey home was a lot quieter but the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all, Margaret commented:
“I had such an amazing day, thank you for letting me be a part of it.”
A special thank you to the three members of staff who spent their day off coming on the trip, but as Joyce commented:
“This isn’t work for us. It’s why we love our jobs so much, seeing our Residents have such fun makes our day.”
