Today at Acacia Lodge care home, they held a Spanish themed day for both Residents and staff with Spanish food, games, speaking and so much more.
The day consisted of Spanish dancing, learning parts of the language and a Pinata was even given a good whacking from a few of the Residents. With the rich heritage of this sunny country, they certainly didn’t run out of things to do for everyone.
A Resident spoke about the activities, “The Spanish speaking was fun it really made us all laugh!”
As well as this, the chefs got to work cooking a Spanish themed dish which was a Spanish chicken in a tomato sauce, vegetable frittata and braised lamb.
Among the attendees were Residents Olive Heeley, Brendan Irwin, Lennox Jarret and Jack Long who all loved the Spanish theme and got themselves involved.
Linda, Head of Admin at Acacia Lodge, said, “It was lovely to see everyone having fun!”
