Irthlingborough care home Resident knits for good causeMargaret O’Dell, a Resident HC-One’s Acacia Lodge care home in Irthlingborough has been using her knitting skills for the greater good.

Margaret is currently knitting jumpers, bonnets and other pieces of clothing for babies and young children in Africa.

Over the last four years, Margaret has gifted approximately one hundred items of clothing to the charity, all of which have been lovingly made in different colours and sizes for children who are born with no clothes to wear.

Margaret says she is happy to help by knitting things for the children as it’s something she enjoys and it gives her something to do when she has spare time.

Acacia Lodge Home Manager, Farai Maringa said:

“It’s amazing that Margaret is devoted to helping others and is able to make such lovely items for the children.

“Everyone at Acacia Lodge has been inspired by Margaret’s efforts and we are hoping to do more within the home to help this worthy cause.”
