Inverness care homes Nursing Assistant receives long service awardFergal Naughton, Nursing Assistant at HC-One’s Cradlehall Care Home in Inverness has received a long service award for his five years of service at the home.

Fergal joined Cradlehall in October 2013 as a Carer before achieving his Nursing Assistant qualification in 2016. He has always been a dedicated and hardworking member of the team, willing to go above and beyond for our Residents and his Colleagues.

He was presented with his award by Wendy Stephen, Turnaround Manager at Cradlehall, and was also gifted a voucher as a special thank you.

To continue with the celebrations, Residents enjoyed a special tea party to honour Fergal and his long service to the home.

Resident Flora MacBean took the opportunity to ask Fergal a few questions in light of his award, including finding out what made him work towards his Nursing Assistant qualification to which he replied:

“HC-One offered a career development opportunity to build on my skills and progress within the company; I worked through the programme and achieved my Nursing Assistant qualification two years ago.”

When asked what he enjoyed most about his job at Cradlehall, Fergal commented:

“Getting to know our Residents and spending time with them; I do what I do for our Residents and I love it!”

Wendy Stephen, Home Manager at Cradlehall, commented:

“We had a lovely afternoon tea for Fergal’s presentations and the Residents thoroughly enjoyed being part of it.

Flora took great pride in being asked to interview Fergal and certainly put him through his paces.”
