Meet Marley, the new mascot introduced to everyone at Lyndon Hall care home.
Due to current unprecedented times and restrictions on visiting, the wellbeing team at Lyndon Hall care home introduced a new friend for all Relatives and Colleagues throughout the home.
Animals, and in particular dogs, really are a person's best friend. They offer comfort, friendship and it has been proven that they help people to relax and feel more comfortable. Due to the lack of interaction and family and friends being unable to visit properly, Marley really has become somewhat of a celebrity around Lyndon Hall.
Marley is a 14-month-old Cockapoo puppy who loves his cuddles from Residents as much as they do.
One Colleague said, “It's nice to see staff and Residents smiling at our new addition”.
Marley has his own doggy passport, all risk assessments have been completed and infection control followed meaning a safe environment has been created for all.
We hope to see more from what Marley is doing within the coming days and weeks.
