Acomb Court care home in Hexham – part of HC-One, the kind care company – hosted a summer party for Residents and local nursey children on Friday 19th July.
As the weather took a turn for the worse, the team decided to rethink their plans and set up the summer party in the home’s lounge, with beautiful decorations and fun activities for both young and old.
The children from a local nursery and the Residents at Acomb Court have been working closely together on multiple projects in 2019 and have started to form friendships over the months. Everyone took part in the activities and played games, some of which, included a paddling pool and a sand pit, before sharing a delicious picnic lunch.
A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting on how lovely it was to have a special party with the children, some even said it was the best day they have had in a while.
