Residents at Beauvale care home in Bingham were delighted to take part in an intergenerational learning session with students from the local Toot Hill School.
Year 8 students were joined by pupils from the local primary school for the project at Beauvale, which aims to integrate people from different generations.
The 10 week-long Enactus project will see Residents do a different activity with the students each week, including arts and crafts and Valentine’s Day-themed hand painting.
One Resident commented: “It was nice to talk to and help the children. I am already looking forward to them coming again next week.”
Mr Marriott added: “It was a wonderful experience and was heart-warming to see the interaction between Residents and pupils.”
