Intergenerational project at Penrith care homeResidents from HC-One’s Croft Avenue care home in Penrith welcomed students from Ullswater Community College as part of an intergenerational project.

The students, who are all studying Health and Social Care at Ullswater Community College organised a series of activities for Residents at the home, including, bingo, gardening, quizzes as well as arts and crafts.

Both Residents and students were split into teams and worked together throughout the different activities, it was a great experience for everyone, all of the Residents agreed it was pleasure to meet such a lovely group of young people.

Croft Avenue Home Manager, Teresa McGuiness said: “Thank you to the students and teachers from Ullswater Community College for visiting Croft Avenue.

“We value our community links and visits like this one have a positive impact on the wellbeing of all our Residents, we hope to welcome you again very soon.”
